Zoom can be accessed through a web browser or downloaded to your device. Those attending the Intermediate/Advanced course will need to have already purchased the software and have access to it during the course. Prior to the course, participants at Beginner level will be sent a link to download the Movie Magic software and will be granted a temporary licence for the duration of the course. Participants will need a PC or Mac with stable internet connection.

The Beginner courses are suitable for new entrants and professionals with up to two years’ experience in the industry, with no previous experience of the software. Professionals based in the UK already working in these roles or those who intend to step up to these grades are encouraged to apply.īoth courses are available at either Beginner or Intermediate/Advanced level. This software is typically used by 1st Assistant Directors, Line Producers and Production Managers, and often also by 2nd Assistant Directors, Production Co-ordinators and Producers. These courses, which usually cost the participant £200 to attend, are now provided free, thanks to the support of ScreenSkills.

The courses are supported by ScreenSkills using National Lottery funds awarded by the British Film Institute (BFI) as part of the Future Film Skills programme. Applications are now open for online courses in Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting, the industry standard software for the film industry.
